The Company Profile page is the organizational identity layer for Scale B.O.S.S. Here, the business defines its core company information, manages app icons for light and dark themes, and provides the strategic context that helps AI B.O.S.S. deliver more relevant guidance.

This page does more than store administrative metadata. It shapes how the organization appears across the platform, gives internal users a cleaner operating context, and supplies the business description, market profile, and growth-stage details that make AI output more specific and actionable.

How to Access Company Profile

Open the user menu from the avatar in the upper-right corner of the application, select Settings, then navigate to the General section and the Company Profile sub-tab.

The Page at a Glance

Company Profile is part of the broader Settings experience. At the top level, Settings includes General, Users, Integrations & AI, Notifications & Messaging, and Billing. Within General, Company Profile sits alongside tabs such as Departments & Business Units, Preferences, and Cadence Rules.

Page sections

Company Information: Stores the organization's core identity and profile details.
App Icon: Controls the icon displayed in the product for light and dark themes.
AI Context Information: Adds business-specific context so AI B.O.S.S. can reason with greater business awareness.
Save Profile: Commits changes to the organization record.

App Icon and Theme-Specific Branding

The App Icon area controls how the organization is visually represented in the product sidebar. Separate icons are supported for Light and Dark theme modes — an icon that reads clearly on a light background may disappear or appear muddy on a dark one.

Upload the light-mode icon in the Light panel and the dark-mode icon in the Dark panel.
Use the preview to confirm the icon remains legible at small sizes.
Use reset to remove or replace an uploaded icon.

Recommended preparation

Use a square image at a 1:1 ratio, minimum 64×64 pixels, preferably PNG.

Display behavior

The icon renders at 32px in the sidebar, so clarity at small size matters more than fine detail.

AI Context Information

This section is one of the most strategically important parts of Company Profile. It is where the business explains itself to AI B.O.S.S. in structured form. The more accurate and complete this context is, the more grounded and relevant the AI's advice becomes.

How AI context is organized

Business Description: A short summary (500-character limit) explaining what the company does, who it serves, and what value it delivers.
High-priority context: Target Market, Geographic Scope, Employee Count, and Business Model. These fields give AI B.O.S.S. the essential frame for understanding the company.
Financial & growth details: Revenue Model, Funding Stage, Profitability Status, Primary Sales Channel, Primary Competitors, and Key Challenges. These help AI interpret strategic tradeoffs more accurately.
Customer economics and differentiation: Customer Acquisition Cost range, Customer Lifetime Value range, and Unique Value Proposition. These help AI reason about growth quality, not just growth activity.

What good AI context looks like

Business Description: Explains the offer, audience, and model in plain business language — not marketing slogans.
Target Market: Reflects who the company actually sells to now, not a future audience it hopes to reach.
Key Challenges: Lists current strategic constraints such as delivery bottlenecks, pricing pressure, customer acquisition efficiency, or operational complexity.
Unique Value Proposition: Clearly states what makes the organization meaningfully different, not just generally competent.

Recommended Workflow

Start with Company Information to ensure the organization's identity and stage are current.
Upload or refresh the light and dark app icons if branding needs updating.
Write the Business Description before completing the dropdown fields — it keeps the rest of the page grounded in a clear understanding of the company.
Complete the AI Context fields in order: high-priority context first, then financial and growth details, then customer economics and unique value proposition.
Review the page for accuracy. If the description reads like marketing copy or the economics feel approximate, revise before saving.
Click Save Profile to commit the updated organization record.

How Often This Page Should Be Reviewed

Company Profile should not be treated as a one-time setup. At minimum, review it whenever the business changes materially — after a repositioning, stage change, new revenue model, pricing shift, market expansion, or brand refresh.

Review quarterly if the company is actively evolving its model or market position.
Review after annual planning if leadership has updated growth targets or strategic direction.
Review immediately after a rebrand, website change, or shift in primary customer segment.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Using generic marketing language instead of clear, specific business language.
Leaving outdated revenue figures, stage designations, or market assumptions in place.
Uploading icons that look fine at large sizes but blur or disappear at 32px.
